A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

Yes, but: John Hinderaker over at Powerline notes that when the New York Times is leaked a document by someone antagonistic towards Democrats, that they suddenly find their ethics policy and describe the whistleblower leaker and his/her motivations.

A copy of the report was obtained by The New York Times from someone sympathetic to the Barrett investigation who wanted his criticism of the Clinton administration to be known.

Now, I'm thinking that this leaker is one of those centrist-Republicans or is really old. Why? Because if your goal is to get this information out -- and get it told honestly -- then why would you go to the Times? Just about any newspaper in America would be better than the Times. Leak it to the Washington Post. Heck, leak it to Glenn Reynolds or the Conspiracy. Anyone but the Times.
