A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

Idiot of the day: Quoted on Fox News' "Special Report with Brit Hume" in a report on the nomination of John Roberts to the Supreme Court we have our Idiot of the day: Debra Ness of the National Partnership for Women.

The right of women to vote, the right to privacy, all of these are rights that Americans hold dear, but some might argue are not rights that may be easily found in the Constitution.

I'll give her the "right to privacy," but the right of women to vote?

Section 1. The right of the citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.

Section 2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

Hoystory hopes that it has provided Ms. Ness with a "clue."

Ness graduated summa cum laude from Drew University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology. After completing graduate work in social welfare and public health policy, she received her Masters of Science from Columbia University School of Social Work.

Right about now her grade from her high school civics class would be more informative.

Comments:
Hey! Didn't you know that John Roberts is just plotting that once he gets on the Supreme Court that he will vote to get rid of the right to vote for women?

Don't be surprised to hear Ted Blobbo Kennedy take up this canard. He lies about everything else - heck, he even claimed stuff about Robert Bork that was wholly untrue. For liberals to make up stuff out of whole cloth to defeat Roberts is not beyond the pale.

Expect more of this crap. And far, far worse than this.

She has a background in social work ... drains all common sense from a body.

She forgot that Roberts wants to bring back slavery and indentured servitude, re-segregate schools, ban alcohol, and overturn the right to an attorney.
