A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

Bush's "vacation": There's plenty of whining about President Bush's "vacation" at his Texas ranch -- according to Fox News' Chris Wallace it will be 33 days long. I confess, it's far more vacation time than I get -- or most other Americans get. Of course, when I go on vacation, I'm not designing pages for the Union-Tribune. When Bush goes on vacation, it's not as though he stops doing his job.

As for people in glass houses throwing stones, if you hear any Democrat senators complaining about Bush's vacation, remember: Bush = 33 days. Senators = 36 days.
