Amazon Honor System Click Here to Pay Learn More

A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

Stupidity on the "right:" SpongeBob SquarePants is not a homosexual, despite what some people say. You'd have thought they would've learned their lesson after the whole Tinky Winky episode.

However, in their "defense," they're only using similar standards for determining sexual preference as others have used to determine that Abraham Lincoln was gay.

Comments:
Now, perhaps Dr. Dobbson did go too far, but its a stretch to say they are claiming Sponge Bob is gay.

"cartoon characters are being exploited to promote the acceptance of homosexuality."

That is saying something quite a bit different.

"Hoystory - 'Dr. James Dobson is stupid.'"

Its my understanding that the attack was directed at a group using this cartoon character in a film that is being used to indoctrinate kiddies in "diversity." Clearly the agenda is homosexuality is okay and acceptable according to the film. So as far as I am concerned this is just another meme put out by the Left.

What next, Moore didn't call the Jihaddies "Minutemen."

I usually agree with you, Matt, but you're off base on this one. Like the two above said, he didn't say Sponge Bob was gay. He said Sponge Bob (and a whole lot of other cartoon characters) were being used in a video to promote tolerance for diversity, including sexual identity diversity.

You bought into what you rail against -- mainstream media distorting the facts. Some totally took his words out of context, others merely minimized the true message. You could make the case the liberal press wants to marginalize Dobson and his organization by making him appear ridiculous. If he appears ridiculous to even his normal supporters, his power to promote change is going to be significantly reduced.

In my opinion, this deserves a retraction.
