Amazon Honor System Click Here to Pay Learn More

A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

A wealth of material: I wouldn't wish a Kerry presidency on the country, but Teresa Heinz Kerry's mouth would provide an almost daily supply of material worth mocking.

In an interview with USA Today, the multilingual African-American opines on First Lady Laura Bush.

Q: You'd be different from Laura Bush?

A: Well, you know, I don't know Laura Bush. But she seems to be calm, and she has a sparkle in her eye, which is good. But I don't know that she's ever had a real job — I mean, since she's been grown up. So her experience and her validation comes from important things, but different things. And I'm older, and my validation of what I do and what I believe and my experience is a little bit bigger — because I'm older, and I've had different experiences. And it's not a criticism of her. It's just, you know, what life is about.

Laura Bush was a schoolteacher and a librarian -- apparently not "real jobs" -- like, say, "billionaire heiress."

Jim Geraghty reports that Teresa has since backtracked.

"I had forgotten that Mrs. Bush had worked as a school teacher and librarian, and there couldn't be a more important job than teaching our children. As someone who has been both a full time mom and full time in workforce, I know we all have valuable experiences that shape who we are. I appreciate and honor Mrs. Bush's service to the country as First Lady, and am sincerely sorry I had not remembered her important work in the past."

Of course, Mrs. Bush's other job has been as a stay-at-home mom. Apparently that doesn't require any real work -- after all, that's what all those servants are for.

Laura Bush hasn't provided anything in four years like the material Teresa has in just the past few months.

As a woman who has stayed home for 20 years, I'm r-e-a-l tired of these regular apologies I get from the Liberal "Sisterhood." It's always a Lib and it's always a woman back peddling after they're snotting, condescending remarks that make my "work" of no effect. Laura Bush had a "regualr" job. No, Laura Bush got a paycheck for a certain period of time and THAT'S

My computer is a Liberal trying to stop me from expressing my pov!

Anyway, this is always about money and not choices as the "Sisterhood" tries to make it. Money and politics, not choices about how you live your life and what you value. If you values family and all that traditional stuff, you just don't have aspirations that are high enough. *this is always said with the same tone one uses with some thought to be a bit feeble*

It would be entertaining watching THK's handlers haul her foot out of her mouth on a regualr basis, but I don't think the country can justify such a small return. Remember, we'd have to endure HIM in the Oval Office!
