A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

That liberal media: When I saw this, my jaw just dropped. Drudge has a copy of an ABC News memo directing reporters to hold the Bush and Kerry campaigns to different standards of the truth -- Bush to the higher standard; Kerry to the lower.

Kerry distorts, takes out of context, and mistakes all the time, but these are not central to his efforts to win.

We have a responsibility to hold both sides accountable to the public interest, but that doesn't mean we reflexively and artificially hold both sides "equally" accountable when the facts don't warrant that.

And who decides when the "facts" warrant that?

Disgusting and another black eye for the media.
