Amazon Honor System Click Here to Pay Learn More

A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

The mystery of computers: I just added the Fahrenhype 9/11 documentary due out next month to my Netflix.com rental queue.

After doing this, I was presented with the "Other Movies You Might Enjoy" screen, which included: "Porn Star: The Legend of Ron Jeremy."

If a human can explain the connection, I'd be interested to do know what it is.

Comments:
Having worked with a lot of databases, I can only come up with 2 conclusions.

1. Some human puts in flags on every one of the movies and these two share some kind of flag. (e.g. /Raiders of the Lost Ark/ and /Tomb Raider/ might share a flag for something like "archeological adventure".)

2. The database builds links between movies based on pervious human behavior. People who picked one, also picked the other.

Either option seems to make an interesting point.

I think the connection is - Big Dic* -

Well, I don't understand it either, but feeding both Moore's and Jeremy's names together to Google... like so...
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=%22Michael+moore%22+%22ron+Jeremy%22&spell=1

... gives us 2100 hits.(!)

One of which was most interesting....

Apparently the connection is that they're both listed as documentaries.

Well, both movies star fat, sweaty men with facial hair. And they're two movies I don't want to see.

I think you guys are missing the point, maybe Matt should have bolded the Hype part of FahrenHYPE 9/11.
