A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

Balanced coverage: We already know The New York Times is a liberal newspaper -- the paper's public editor, Daniel Okrent, admitted it just a few short weeks ago. But Okrent also said that he would have to wait until this year's election is over before passing judgement on the paper's political coverage.

Well, look no further:

Note the first and third items. The headline and lead paragraph of the Sen. John Kerry story are neutral at worst. The headline on the President Bush piece is decidedly negative. Kerry's front porch chats are "low-key campaigning", while Bush's are an exercise in fielding "softballs."
