A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

Religion of peace: An Osama bin Laden-affiliated terror group today beheaded American Paul Johnson in Saudi Arabia. You won't find photos here, but you can find them on the Drudge Report.

Sadly, I'm not surprised. It's gotten to the point now that you've got to know that if you're captured by terrorists in the Middle East, you're as good as dead.

Johnson is dead, but the loony, appeasement-minded left insists that we give vermin like those who beheaded Johnson all of the protections of the Geneva conventions. Why? Because, as Sen. Joe Biden says:

I'll conclude by saying there's a reason why we sign these treaties. To protect my son in the military, that's why we have these treaties. So when Americans are captured they ... are ... not ... tortured. That's the reason. Case anybody forgets it. That's the reason.

We see how Biden's piece of paper protected Paul Johnson.
