One sick puppy: The total, complete and unrelenting lack of new content on this site over the past few days was a result of a virus attack on the author, not the site.
To paraphrase comedian Lewis Black: Every year some idiot gets off a ship from Malaysia and forgets to wipe himself and we get the flu.
For those numbers types out there, the relevant number is 101.6 -- that was the maximum measured body temperature early New Years Day.
I'd considered blogging while ill -- call it flublogging -- but I quickly dismissed the idea after I realized I couldn't form a coherent thought. (Yes, I realize that doesn't stop many lefty bloggers.)
I'm feeling somewhat better now -- I've managed to get a mediocre night's sleep and blogging will resume shortly.
