A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.
Tuesday, July 09, 2002 Love of country: Former Arizona Cardinals' safety Pat Tillman has turned down a 3-year $3.6 million contract to enlist in the Army. Tillman's decision is one few would make -- and an honorable sacrifice for his country. In a world where bad athletes are often role models, Tillman is an honorable man who shoule be a role model to more young people. We're in a war -- it's something that American needs to remember.
