That other thing that was annoying me: I posted earlier this week about a couple of my current pet peeves -- and I knew at the time I was forgetting one. Here it is:

The sideline reporter that the Chargers radio broadcaster employs -- a woman whose name I don't know -- last weekend went on the air and told the guys in the booth that she was "efforting" to find out about a player's injury.

The next person to use "effort" as a verb gets a beating.
