A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

Questioning patriotism: Whenever it's suggested that something one of our liberal elected officials says or does would hurt the troops overseas or America as a nation -- their patriotism is being questioned. They immediately get indignant, then outraged. This happened repeatedly during the 2004 presidential campaign, and continues today.

Earlier today, when the House GOP imploded on the budget bill, House minority leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi, decided that the time was right to question Republicans' patriotism.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-California, said Democrats made the bill "too hot to handle" for Republicans, and she called the cuts "anti-family, anti-taxpayer and anti-American."

It's nice to know that the broken record continues spinning.
