Amazon Honor System Click Here to Pay Learn More

A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

This is Southern California: There's some serious thunder and lightning outside my window right now. I caused it. I had my car washed today. I also had the oil changed. Then the car died. It's at the shop.

You know, you give your car an oil change. Pay a little extra to have them put the Armor All on the tires. And the thing goes belly-up on you. In the Costco parking lot. With food that needs to be refrigerated in the trunk. I'm hoping it's the fuel pump, that thing still has to be under warranty after I had it replaced in December. I'm planning on owning this car until it runs into the ground (barring winning the lottery or some anonymous benefactor to Hoystory), but I always believed that would be many years down the line.

I'm happy that one way or another I won't have to go into work until tomorrow afternoon, the freeways are going to be wet and people here don't have the slightest clue how to drive in the rain.

*UPDATE* The thunder is so loud it just set off a half-dozen car alarms.
