National City dodges a bullet: The National City city council won't have to declare a car dealership blighted in order to force the landowner to sell to the dealership. A deal has been made and government taking won't be necessary.

This is good news. Since I wrote about the case last week, I had been looking forward to seeing where these elected officials would come down. I guess we'll just have to wait until next time, and I've no doubt this sort of thing will happen again.
