A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

If Halliburton won, they'd howl: Former California Gov. Pete Wilson recounts the rebuilding of the I-10 freeway in Los Angeles after the 1994 Northridge Earthquake. If you're serious about actually getting stuff done, then this is the way to do it.
Frankly, I often wish that they'd take this sort of approach with the I-15 freeway through San Diego. They've been working on widening it for years, but the going is slow -- and I don't really like sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic when I'm on my way home -- at midnight.
