A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

Local TV News: I've gotten the opportunity to watch some of southern New England's finest local news and it's merely reinforced my perception that just about all local news is garbage. Last night, for example, the local newsreader -- I'd be extremely hesitant to call her a "journalist" -- shared the fact that one of the London bombers had at one time been investigated by "Britain's intelligence service, M-Fifteeen." Yep, that's right, she'd never read a single Tom Clancy novel, otherwise she'd know it was MI5.

The weather forecast is equally bad. You'd think that seeing as how they actually have weather in New England, that they'd be a little better at forecasting it than in San Diego, where there is no weather. Nope, they've predicted thunderstorms for Connecticut and Rhode Island for each of the past five days -- and though it is humid, barely a drop of rain has fallen, no lightning has been seen nor thunder heard.
