Amazon Honor System Click Here to Pay Learn More

A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

A few things of note: Checked out the new movie "Fantastic Four" at the theater. I did my usual -- going to the last showing of the night. Only about eight people were in the audience, which is nice. The film is fun, but isn't paced very well. It's about an hour and 45 minutes long, but it feels short -- mainly because the action is packed towards the end. You don't really notice the slow pacing though, mainly because you're too busy watching Jessica Alba. (Hubba, hubba.) For those of you interested in the characters -- you can get some background thanks to the San Diego Union-Tribune's Paul Horn of Cool Jerk fame. Everytime one of these movies based on a comic book comes out, Horn does an incredible full-page graphic like the one you can see by following the link. In fact, he recently won an award for the one he did for "Spiderman 2."

While watching TV today, specifically "Sell this House," I learned that to get melted wax out of carpeting you place paper towels over the wax and use an iron set at medium heat to re-melt the wax and the paper towel absorbs it. Repeat as necessary.

I am currently "on vacation." I'm going to be traveling all day Tuesday, and out of town for little over a week. Posting will be sporadic.

Who is the idiot that casted Jessica Alba as an invisible girl?
