A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

The evils of the DH: This sort of thing happens a lot more in the AL than the NL for one simple reason: if the pitcher goes headhunting, he'll likely get the same treatment when he's up to bat. It makes you think twice. But the AL has gotten rid of that deterrent with the designated hitter. The only way to discourage this behavior on the pitcher's part is to have a bench-clearing brawl.

The DH is evil. Discuss.

Comments:
The DH is un-American. I'd go so far as to call it Communist.

The DH is a great addition to the wonderful game of baseball...it could only have been instituted in the league that is truly "American"

It's a joke. Dump it.
