A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

Peta: Fox News' Neil Cavuto had a representative from the evil Peta (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) on his program because today is apparently an anniversary of some kind.

Cavuto asked an excellent question of the human-hater: Let's say you're in a canoe and can save only one other being -- do you save the dog or the human?

The woman's response was disgusting. "Most people would save their own." Yes, but what would you do? "Well, let's say that the human is a serial rapist and the dog just saved an entire family."

Talk about a seriously out of whack worldview.

I would propose a different question so we can really get down to cases. Suppose the human is an Atkins dieter and the dog is a pit bull. Now, which one do you save?

I'm going to get a hamburger.

Comments:
Who would I save?
My dog's life or that of a complete stranger with whom I have no other connection other than we happen to be the same species?

Hmmmm?

I sure hope the guy can swim.

Sad, but an honest amswer.

PETA is proof that good marketing and a crap product beat out a great product and crap marketing. Faced with certain doom so someone in a canoe could save a freaking dog, I would do everything in my power to sink them both or take the canoe for myself with a promise to eat the dog at first opportunity.
