A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

Anti-democracy protest update: Lt. Smash has a roundup of links with photos and tons of other bloggy-goodness on Saturday's Patriots' Picnic/counterprotest against the communists/anarchists and apologists for mass-murdering dictators.

I would particularly like to point out this photo by Larry Carlin of the day's most moronic protestor.

Two things about this idiot. First, it demonstrates the contempt these people have for democracy. They really hate it. What other possible reason is there for taking one of the most powerful images of Iraqi freedom? The purple finger indicating that the individual has braved death threats in order to vote, is greeted with hatred and vulgarity.

Second, there is the Bush=Hitler slander on her T-shirt -- and she can't even spell "Adolf" correctly.

I don't know about the other stations, but KUSI reported incorrectly Saturday night that Smash and his friends weren't there.
