A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

Plot revealed: New York Congressman Maurice Hinchey, a Democrat, told people at a community forum in Ithaca yesterday that he had proof that Karl Rove had planted the forged National Guard documents used by CBS News.

When confronted, he acknowledged that he didn't have real proof only fake proof.

Audience Member: Do you have any evidence for that?

Congressman Hinchey: Yes I do. Once they did that —

Audience: [Murmuring]

Congressman Hinchey: ...once they did that, then it undermined everything else about Bush’s draft dodging. Once they were able to say, ‘This is false! These papers are not accurate, they’re, they’re, they’re false, they’ve been falsified.’ That had the effect of taking the whole issue away.

Audience Member: So you have evidence that the papers came from the Bush administration?

Congressman Hinchey: No. I — that’s my belief.

In keeping with Congressman Hinchey's standard of proof when it comes to embarrassing revelations, I've discovered this photograph of the New York congressman.

I guarantee this photo is as authentic as CBS News' National Guard documents.

Comments:
Bush did not serve honorably. That's the truth. Rove is a despicable character who has been responsible for dirty tricks in the past. Good for Hinchey to stand up and say the truth without fear. Too bad we don't have any Republicans of integrity to do the same thing.
