A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

Recorded calls: Spent most of the day down in East County with the parental units. Got new brakes on my automobile and spent a good portion of the day trying to get my father's car to run. Whatever happened to the good ol' days when corrosion on battery terminals wasn't something that was hidden -- I mean, it used to take a whole lot of crud to stop the battery from supplying juice.

Anyway, got home and there were two recorded campaign calls on my answering machine. The first one was another from the Governator -- nothing new. The second one was from the San Marcos Firefighters urging me to vote for two city council candidates -- only problem: I don't live in San Marcos. Talk about a waste of resources.
