Need for speed: NASA's X-43A Scramjet set a new speed record for an air-breathing aircraft, reaching nearly 7,000 mph. Someday, San Diego to Rhode Island in just 30 minutes.

isn't it nice too see scramjet technology in it's ending stages? pulling air from the atmosphere instead of putting in a large orange tank (space shuttle)!
