A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

Ahhnold calling: Just got a pre-recorded phone call from the Governator inviting me to a Saturday rally against various propositions at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Schwarzenegger claimed to be traveling up and down the state campaigning -- a typical Republican lie -- while he's stumping for President Bush in Ohio.

The real news is that this phone call makes you, the reader of this blog, less than six degrees of separation away from California's governor. Just another of the benefits of being a Hoystory reader.

Hi,

I live in Ohio and I just got a call from Ahhnold. Does this mean I am less than 3 degrees of separation from your Governor?

Large and enthusiastic crowd in Cincinnati tonight for the President. Johnny Bench, a local icon to say the least, entered immediately before the President to a huge ovation. When W entered the crowd went absolutely nuts. In comparison, Bench's reception was just polite applause.
