Amazon Honor System Click Here to Pay Learn More

A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

Want to prove us wrong?: CBS News' experts claim that proportional spacing and superscript were available on typewriters in the early '70s.

Let us ignore for a moment that Lt. Col. Jerry Killian's secretary has said that the documents are forged and that the two typewriters she used when she worked at the Texas Air National Guard were an Olympia and an IBM Selectric (not the Composer model) -- neither of which matches the CBS documents.

Do you want to prove the blogosphere wrong?

Find a typewriter that can match the CBS documents line for line, space for space. It shouldn't be that difficult to find, after all, this mythical typewriter was apparently common enough to be found on a Texas Air National Guard Base.

You'll forgive me if I don't hold my breath.
