Amazon Honor System Click Here to Pay Learn More

A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

What I put up with: I'm the only really "out" conservative in the newsroom. So, it should really come as no surprise when I get snarky messages over the newsroom's instant-messaging system like this:

'Capt. Gregory Ratzlaff, 36, of Olympia, Wash., died Tuesday in a non-combat incident at a base near Najaf. He was assigned to Marine Medium Helicopter...' (do you think his kommander in cheef even gives a ratzlaff?)

My response was simply: "Yes. Next question."

Doggone. . . there's a good chance that was the same post I lived on.

Tell your newsie cohort to watch it. I know his coordinates! I can arrange for a precision-guided Mk I Fist to land on his mouth.

Just think for a moment what his widow and 2-year old son are going to feel when they read your posting. You a-holes think you are so witty. Thanks for thinking of them.

He was my brother-in-law. And if you really care, his CO does care.
