A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

Congratulations: We here at Hoystory would like to congratulate the Puerto Rican Olympic mens basketball team for beating a bunch of arrogant, egotistical multimillionaires from the United States.

It took a long time but good finally won over greed and arrogance. I quit watching NBA a long time ago only because of the on- and off-court personalities.
Any word on the shooting (you know, with GUNS) competition?

Why does PR have its own Olympic team, though? Did you know that Puerto Riquenos can compete for the US team, too, if they choose to? Gee, I wonder if us regular US-ians can compete for the PR team. It is, after all, a part of the US, just like the US Virgin Islands. Why don't French overseas territories like Guadeloupe and Martinique have their own teams?
