Amazon Honor System Click Here to Pay Learn More

A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

Padres 4, Rockies 2: Just got back from my first game at Petco Park, the Padres brand new ballpark. I must say that it's quite an impressive structure. And a Padres victory made it all the better.

One interesting thing to note: Between the 3rd and 4th innings, the Marine Corps Hymn was played over the loudspeakers to honor about 250 Marine recruits who often attend Sunday ballgames from the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego. As the song began, the Marine recruits received a standing ovation that lasted throughout the entire 2-3 minute break.

This definitely isn't Berkeley.
