Lay's day in court: Former Enron CEO Kenneth Lay was hauled into court yesterday. This will thankfully silence some of those who have carped for years about President Bush's supposedly cozy relationship with the former Enron head.

Others, it won't. [subscription required]


Kerry spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter was all too quick to suggest that the friendship between Mr. Lay and President Bush had led to special treatment, calling the indictment "three years too late."


Execution first. Trial later.

Who ever said that Democrats were soft on crime?
