A note on the Amazon ads: I've chosen to display current events titles in the Amazon box. Unfortunately, Amazon appears to promote a disproportionate number of angry-left books. I have no power over it at this time. Rest assured, I'm still a conservative.

Heard on the idiot box: Ralph Nader has picked the Green Party's former candidate for governor of California as his running mate.

No big surprise there, but what was interesting was what Camejo had to say at the National Press Club about Nader.

Fox News' Brian Wilson: Camejo said history would show Nader to be like those who opposed slavery before the Civil War.

Camejo: If I showed you the candidates who ran in 1840 in America, the Democrats, Whigs or abolitionists, whose picture would you want on your wall? It's the abolitionist. They are the people who stood up to make America a better place. Just as Ralph Nader, the Green Party and many other forces are standing up today to make America a better place.

Abolitionists...didn't they have their own political party? Weren't they called...Republicans?
